First Born Church – Social Media Campaign for Local Church Engagement
First Born Church is a growing congregation located in Kaneshie, Accra. While the church was active offline, their online presence was minimal. Leadership wanted to modernize communication and reach more people—especially younger audiences—through digital platforms.
The Challenge
The church had no consistent digital strategy. Social media pages were inactive, and event attendance was declining. They needed help launching a campaign that would promote upcoming programs, share inspiring content, and re-engage their community online.
Our Approach
We launched a 3-month social media campaign focused on community building, event promotion, and spiritual content. Our efforts included:
- Weekly content calendar with themed posts (inspiration, event reminders, throwbacks)
- Professionally designed flyers and motion graphics for key programs
- Paid Facebook and Instagram ads targeting local believers
- Daily engagement with comments, DMs, and shares
- Encouraged members to tag friends and participate in hashtag campaigns
- Live streaming and video highlights for Sunday services and midweek events
We also trained a small church media team to keep the momentum going.
The Results
By the end of the campaign:
- Page followers increased by 3x
- Average post engagement rose by 70%
- Church events saw a 20% increase in attendance
- Youth participation on social platforms more than doubled
